About InterCommunity
InterCommunity, Inc. is a community behavioral health organization providing mental health and addiction services to individuals, families, and communities within the state of Connecticut for over 35 years. The agency is licensed by the Department of Public Health to provide mental health and substance abuse services, and provides comprehensive services to over 1800 people each year. Since 1981 the agency has been contracted with the Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services as the Lead Mental Health Authority for six towns, including East Hartford, Glastonbury, Marlborough, Newington, Rocky Hill and Wethersfield. InterCommunity's Outpatient Psychiatric Children's Clinic, as well as InterConnections, InterCommunity's clinic for those with private insurance has no geographic restrictions and can see people statewide.
