Our 2013 fundraising series, Life, Laughter and Learning, is a three-part series of community-oriented events that span the year, offering a unique opportunity to feature our sponsors and celebrate their commitment to InterCommunity. Our 2012 events included:
- The Annual Old Wethersfield 5K & 10K Road Race/Walk
Life: 10th Annual Old Wethersfield 5k & 10k Road Race/Walk, welcoming over 900 people, which was held Sunday August 26, 2012. InterCommunity partners with the Hartford Marathon Foundation as the benefitting charity for this great event. - The Laughter of Life Event
Laughter: An evening event on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 6- 9 p.m. featuring fabulous food and cocktails, silent and live auctions, live music, overall a wonderful, fun-filled night for 200 guests in Downtown Hartford, at the Society Room. This year we honored Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman for her commitment to the behavioral health field. - Our Health and Wellness Fair
Learning: InterCommunity held a Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday June 16, 2012 from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.at the Glastonbury Center Town Green. Activities included over 15 participating vendors, children's activities, food, music and free wellness screenings and promotions. InterCommunity partnered with Healthtrax Fitness and Wellness Center in Glastonbury, CT to put on this event, and looks forward to holding it again next year.
